It is finally Friday, what do you have on tap for the day?

Riding home tonight if the weather holds out (which is doubtful). I hope to get in 20 or so miles.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend. Enjoy whatever your weekend brings you.

I'm doing a duathlon on Sunday and trying to juggle that with marathon training. So somehow I need to run 17 miles today and rest tomorrow. I thought I'd do it when I got up, but family and business ate up those hours. So it looks like I'll be heading out in a few. Forgot to charge the Garmin

Day off teaching for me today...it's Fair Day for our school district, yay! Monday off too!  Anyhow...

8am: 20 min run
8:30am:  Insanity Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs
60  minute walk in desert with the doggies!

Tomorrow I am going to be the lead bike for a half marathon out on the salt flats so I'll be swapping out my racing tires and putting on my knobbies to handle the terrain.  Should be a great time!

15 min bike/15 min run brick all with pickups.  Legs feeling ready to bust it at tomorrow's Oly!

Too bad I have to wake up at 3:50...at least a 7 a.m. start means no fighting the heat.

It's been raining this morning so I ran on a treadmill at noon. I've been reading lots of articles lately about running 'easier' to develop mitocondria, capillary beds, etc. I tried to slow down some and, since it wasn't too busy, I went over the posted 30 minute limit on the t-mill.

First run today after having the last 1.5 months off with an ankle injury. Ran 6 miles today and it felt great. Glad to be back out running again

100 here again today. :-( I've had enough.

I swam 750m at noon and had a break through. I was about half way through one length of the pool and I realized that I had kind of forgotten I was swimming. I couldn't remember if I'd breathed. "Surely, I've taken a breath. Right?" I thought to myself. Well, obviously I had, but I didn't remember turning my head to breathe.

I took this as a sign that swimming is beginning to feel natural. Up until this point, when I'm swimming, all I'm thinking about is swimming and the stroke and breathing. But today was different. I was wearing my earplugs, so I wasn't feel dizzy or sick. I was stroking very slowly and easy -- my heart rate was barely elevated (maybe 110?) and I was just swimming. And loving it.

Did I just say that? I'll say it again. I LOVE swimming!!!

"Easy" (not slow) run later this evening after the temperature drops a little. Or, I may just go out and suffer in the heat. I'm in such a good mood. Why not??

It's Saturday morning here. Ran an 8.6 (A random distance, I know!) mile race. Ran half alone, killed a hill, then met up with friends and enjoyed the 2nd half.

Swam 1500 yards (55 laps) in backyard pool that is 92*! Whew!!! that was hot even for me.  Then walked the dog 1.35 miles (my anti-injury form of running)
