Wondering if anyone knows of a compatible behind the seat bottle cage that will fit on the Cervelo Dual 10.

The profile dual aqua pack on the Nashbar and performancebike websites don't fit. I walked into a performance bike store this morning and the store guy and I couldn't get it to attach properly.

I use the X-lab flatwing, with the profile cages off the aqua-rack.  This set up seems to be working well.  No cages have broken (unlike all of the others I used) and I've only launched one bottle, but I'm pretty sure it was because it was a cheapy bottle that was never designed to go in a bottle cage.

Cool thanks. Just to clarify, you just bought the X-lab flatwing and the profile cage (not the actual profile aqua pack) or for that matter, I can use any cage, right?

You can use any cage.  I bought the Profile Design Aqua Rack specifically for the cages- I heard the cages didn't break and they held the bottles pretty well.  Before this I was breaking cages and launching bottles left and right.  I took the cages off the Aqua Rack and put them on the Flatwing.  No issues so far...

Ouch...the x-lab is expensive. Thank god the profile water cages are some the cheapest. Thanks again for the info.

Stake,
One more question. How is the difficulty in getting the bottle, putting the bottle back for the x-lab, in contrast to a middle post water cage, and in relation to aero bars.

It takes some practice, but if you can ride a bike you can figure it out.  I also have a cage on the downtube.  I really like the X-lab because I can strap my spare stuff to it- tube, quickstick, etc.  I usually use the bottles on the back to fill my aero-bottle.  There's a million different ways to configure it.

Just so you know, I've never seen the cages off the aqua rack sold individually.  You might want to make sure the cages you are thinking of are the same ones.

That's a good idea about the rear filling up the aero bottle. I didn't think of that.

In already ordered the x-lab and the profile from trisports. Can you tell me if those are the ones on the aqua pack.

The ones I got were these: http://trisports.com/profilekages.html

I have the FlatWing on my P3 and use it for tubes/tires/levers/Co2 carts... Just about everything but H2O as I have no cages on it. I have the XLab carbon cage on my down-tube and I'll be installing an aero-bottle on the front end this weekend.

I haven't really done any long rides on the P3, where I've needed more than one bottle, so I didn't miss not having the bottles on the FlatWing. But, I can tell you that I really like it for the tubes/...

I took a look at trisports of all the accessories that I can add on the X-lab.

I can see how the X-nut holds the 2 threaded C02 cartridges and the head pump unit but how does the X-strap hold the tubes? It just literally ties it there???

Also, one other thing that I see missing is where do you put the levers? I understand you don't really need a tool (like the alien) for races but do you just tie the levers with the tubes?

Yup.

Yup again.  Not sure about you, but it is damn near impossible to get the tires off the rims of my road bikes without a tool.  MTB, sure- no prob.  My road bikes...aint happening.  I use a quick-stick, which is a little easier than levers.

Cool thanks.

I agree, that the tires on the road/tri rims are a pain the arse. I always pray before a race, and for that matter, any training ride, that I will not get a flat. Luckly, I haven't yet in a race.

I'll look into the quick-stick. Never even heard of it before but just googling it, it seems interesting since you only need one.

Subject: flatwing installation questions
Ok, I have some stupid questions about the X-lab flatwing I just recieved from trisports. I got the flatwing on the seat. That's not the problem. But now what do I do.

Where do the water bottles and straps go (the instructions say to put them on the same bolts, but where do I mount it on the flatwing)???

So I don't get confused, if looking from the side of the bike and the flat wing, I see 3 nuts. Let's say nut A is the farthest from the seat, nut B is the top of the middle swinging bracket, and nut C is the nut on the swinging bracket.

I figured out where the C02 thingy goes, which is the bottom of the bracket (near nut C).

Thanks for all your help.

I think that's where I tried to put the cage but it seems like the nut they provide is too short for the top nut (of the two nuts that hold the cage) so that's why I doubted myself.

Maybe the profile cages I got are the wrong one? Did you have to buy a longer nut for anything?

I didn't modify a thing- bone stock.  You have the correct cages- figit with it a bit, it will work.

Last night, I tried for hours with different cage positions but nothing worked for the top nut. Bottom nut worked just fine. I'll give it a try later on. Thanks for the pics and info.

Well Stake, just letting you know that I had to get some longer 'nuts.' It just wouldn't fit property with the nuts they provided. But now it looks similar to your setup in your picture.
