Subject: Lake swimming near LA?

Hi everyone,

Anybody know of any open water swimming in or near Los Angeles (I'm in Sherman Oaks) other than the ocean?  Is there any lake swimming to be had, or is it all ocean swimming?

I looked up Castaic and it looks like they have very limited swim areas that are now closed.

Hansen Dam allows swimming and it should be pretty close to you. The hours are limited though.
