i usually do my once a year running shoe purchase and only run in them. I usually do 1 .5 Mary and 4-5 sprints maybe an oly and the half training associated with them. How often do you change running shoes.

For me it depends on the shoe.  Some of my shoes (Brooks ST5) don't last as long as others (Brooks Adrenaline GTS).

I voted 300 because I don't get as much mileage out of my Kinvara 2s as other shoes I used to use.  And I tend to replace shoes BEFORE I start feeling aches and pains in my legs due to the shoes. If I can avoid possibility of injury by replacing shoes ahead of time then I am willing to do that.

I change them when my legs start feeling beat up after runs that shouldn't beat up my legs. That is anywhere between 400-500mi depending on the shoe. I'm currently using Brooks Adrenaline and they get me close to 500mi. I weigh less than 140 and that can make a difference.

For me, it's usually around 300 miles, but I try to listen to my body and base it on how I'm feeling.

I voted 300 but that is pushing it for me (no 250 option).

My shins and knees hurt after about the 200 mile mark and I try to stretch them out to 250. I wear Asics 2160s.

Depending on how much I run, maybe once a month or every other month. As I have several pairs in my regular rotation it seems like I have a new pair at least once a month. However, my racing shoes can go several years as I only use them for races and have different shoes depending on the race. I stock up on shoes when there are good deals. I recently bought 4 pairs from Running Warehouse for less than $40 each during a clearance sale.

Shoes wear out differently depending on a variety of factors. Type of shoe, weight of runner, running form, terrain, etc., can all play a role. The same shoe that wears out at 200 miles for one person, can last another person more than 500 miles. As such, wear is individual and should be based on your own needs rather than based on the experiences of other people who may not use the shoes exactly in the same manner.

I have been running the Mizuno Wave Inspire 7. Do you think shoes can contribute to Planter Fisciitis?

300 or so on my Nike Free 3.0s.  When I was running in Asic Nimbus I could stretch them beyond 400.  Those things are tanks!

My shoes never seem to last more than 6 months no matter how much or how little mileage they get.

Just replaced 2 sets of Scott T2C's after roughly 300 miles per pair.

Looked online at Nike Mayflies, and they print right on the insole that they're only designed to hold up for 100k/62miles!  The initial cost is cheap at $45, but price per mile is pretty high.

I'm cheap. I get at least 500 miles on mine and stretching closer to 700 on my current pair to save money, but I do a lot of gravel/dirt road running which might be a little easier on them.

I replace my shoes when my socks have holes in them after running. If there's tread on the shoe, I keep wearing it. I can't tell the difference between my old shoes and my new ones, aside from a little bit of comfort due to stretching and wear. Sometimes I'll replace them if there is a good sale on, too.

Mine also depends on the shoe. I wore NB 890 and got about 330 miles right after pushing Kinvaras to the limit at 200. Right now I am giving the Mirage a shot.

Somewhere around 200-300 depending on the shoe for me.  I do rotate 2-3 pairs for training and run-only races (and I have another one I use only for triathlon races).

Those that fall of rotation end up as wear-whenever shoes (though I do keep an old pair in a box in my car just in case).
