Subject: Zinn book question I'm pretty new to the whole cycling scene so I'm starting out with a knowledge deficit. One of the parts of my plan for this offseason is to really learn the bike from the ground up, and save some money too. I'm going to tear both my MTB and my road bike apart and give everything a solid dose of TLC. I bought the Zinn repair/maintenace of road bikes book already, do I need the one for MTB's too? I know the bikes are hugely different obviously, but how different can the components be? BTW, I plan on going through what the book calls level 2 work, I don't plan on chasing ball bearings around my basement or anything else extreme. And yes, I'm cheap because I'm just trying to save the 20 bucks the other book would cost.... |
