...at the Silicon Labs Austin Marathon Relay (9/25) - and I beat her!

Nevermind that it was probably an easy taper 12k run for her.  I'm still very happy with my 6:19 pace over the 12k leg...which actually turned out to be 12.2k.

I think I'd be more inclined to let her lead slightly and follow her the whole race to help me um pace better.  ;-)

So let me understand, you actually passed this rather than stay behind?

We started together (1st row) but I didn't wait for her.  I figured she'd be passing me soon enough anyway.  She was wearing regular running shorts - not those.  If she had been wearing those, I may have shuffled over and slid into the 2nd starting row behind her.  Wink

She raced Augusta70.3 last year and I didn't even notice until looking at the results. Probably good I didn't know, I would have made a a$$ of myself asking for her autograph/getting pic etc...or following her around with borderline stalking behavior.

So how much did you beat her by?

Beat her by about 2 minutes I think (guess).  I had time to hand off the timing chip, walk over to the water/food chute, grab a water and gatorade, rest by the fence for a little bit, then grab a bagel and banana.  I saw her finishing as I was making my way to my team's tent.  Can't seem to find her team's times in the results to confirm though.
