Subject: IMAZ Bike Route Question
Hello AZ BTers-

I will be traveling to AZ the next few weekends to do some training for IMAZ. What is the best place to park and start riding the IMAZ course? I would like to avoid busy streets and stop lights as much as possible. Intersection of Alma School and and McDowell?

Thanks for any help.

There's a gas station, right at the start of the Beeline.  Attached is a photo:

If you want to ride the complete course, park at Tempe Beach Park or in the parking lot at Tempe Mission Palms Hotel on Mill.  More street lights, but you will experience the entire course this way.

Also check out Arizona Brumby's cycling club in Mesa ... Every other Saturday ride is from Mesa up Gilbert Rd to Beeline to Fountain Hills and then thru Rio Verde and on to Scottsdale (Circle K at Alma School and Dynamite) then back. It's not exactly the IMAZ course (...about half of it) but you get most of Beeline and a really good crew to ride with. The fast kids are F A S T. Plus safety in numbers and all that....
