Wheel Werks in Crystal Lake has a great reputation. If you want to head north a bit - Emery's in Milwaukee does a great job. Brent Emery was an Olympic Cyclist - and a really good guy.

I'll second the recommendation on Wheel Werks in Crystal Lake - great owner/operation.

I've had good luck with Endureit in Naperville. I train there too. Great place!

I really like Mox Multisport downtown Chicago - right of the kennedy on Randolph / Halstead.   Those guys are great!

I'm a big fan of the guys at Get A Grip Cycles-- shop's on Irving Park Road, fit studio's downtown on Fulton. Very thorough, and a great experience getting fit there!

Has anyone tried Run away multi sport?  They have the guru machine and it looks interesting.

Just did a Guru DFU fitting at Running Away.  While it's not cheap at $300, it is well worth the cost in my opinion (also included are two additional follow up sessions as well).

Let me know if you'd like additional details...

x2.  I did this for my P2 and LOVED it.  I purchased from them so the fitting was included.  They even did a fitting on my roadie for 'free.'  It was TOTALLY worth it.  Takes a good two hours.  I believe the fitting is around $300 but 'free' if you purchase a bike?  Don't quote me on that.  And I think they give discounts on gear if you are a member of any clubs?...

Another option is Element Multisport at Clybourn, Damen, and Diversey. Chris is a Retul certified fitter, and offers both a standard fit as well as a Retul fit.

X3! I no longer live in Chicago and still go back to these guys. Adam and Ken are great!

email my fiance at [email protected].  He's on the southside, big cyclist, manger of a bike store, he'll do it, and he'll do a great job.   I referred him before to people on here, no complaints.

I will go against the grain here and say I have had several negative experiences with Get a Grip and their fit process.  In addition a few of my female friends have had very negative experiences with their fitters.  If you want the details PM me.

Just for full disclosure I still buy my bikes from them, have bought 3 high end bikes, as well as have them do all my maintenance.  I just won't ever use them for a fit again.

I ended up using a local coach that was recommended to me and the experience and fit were night and day.  Check out Brett Petersen and Petersen Performance Labs.
