2 years racing...1st Podium Finish!

This past Sunday marks my first and hopefully not last "podium" finish....i finished 2nd in my AG and 19th overall with a finishing time of 1:18 at the Firethorne Sprint Triathlon here in Katy just outside of Houston...this is my 3rd time to do this race..i havent missed this race since i started this sport...my goal was to try and be top 3 in my AG...it followed the week after Longhorn HIM in Austin so i was wondering how my body would react after a week of recovery...it was one of those days where everything came together...i had a great race the week before in Austin and i wasnt going to be able to race this one due to work but i ended up being off....it was a great way to end the season!

in the past 2 years ive done 5 Sprints, 3 Oly's, and 3 HIM's....my first sprint i finished dead last in my age group in all 3 disciplines....

...Thanks a million to everyone on this site who have answered questions, asked great questions, and everything in between....ive learned a ton about this sport mainly from this site and i know i have a lot more to learn!
