As a matter of fact, I am running (mostly, I hope!) the half.  This is my first half and I have mixed anxieties about it right now!  We lived in the Puget Sound area for four years - moved to MN in 2003 and this is my first trip back.  I have missed Seattle so much that I wasn't ready for the trip until now.  When I found out about the race, I decided it was time .

Not a great elevation chart, doesn't have corresponding miles.

Spence, I think I'm probably gonna be running the half. I have a friend who did it the last two years, he says its a good one, the half is pretty hilly and the full isnt as bad because it levels out after the first half.

Hi,

I was planning on it but due to injury and planning on IMCDA next year I decided it wasn't worth the risk. I did it last year and it was extremely hilly. I did the half a couple of years prior so I knew what to expect with the hills. The difference between the two is that in the marathon you get the hills in the last half.

Good luck Spence as I know you are also doing IMCDA.

I'm ready.  The butterflies are already fluttering and I still have 10 day to go.

Hi,

Good luck Spence! I wish I was doing it again this year. Has anyone done either the half or full marathon in Vancouver, Canada?

If you have is it a good one?

Thanks and good luck to all doing the Seattle half and full marathon.

I did the 2004 Adidas Vancouver Marathon (my first).  Very good event...

4 days and a wakeup till Seattle..  I once heard someone say that you know you are ready to run your next marathon, when You forget how much the last one hurt.

Spence,

Can't imagine I'll bump into you with all the people at the race, but know that you'll have another BTer there cheering for you through the miles!  We fly out this afternoon and I can't wait!  My stomach is already full of butterflies...and I know it's been really damp there but it's been more than two years since I've been to Seattle and I'm so looking forward to getting to run in more than 32 degrees!  This is my first 1/2 mary - and I'm so thankful that my attitude right now is "how cool that I GET to do this!"

Good luck and have fun - I plan to!!
