Event warmup:

We were late, as usual, and ended up jogging from the car to the starting line. Had enough time to grab pins to put my bib on, jump in line, and 30 seconds to concentrate on the run ahead.

Fair. Pushed too hard through the obstacles and drained myself. Had a few walking spells....sucks.

A bottle of water and went to find Kristi.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor training. Also, didn't wear a high sock under my ankle brace...damn thing rubbed a cut into me. Won't make that mistake again.

Course: 1.5 mile run with minimal obstacles (ie bales of hay to run up and over). Once the crowd was thinned a little, the last 1.5 miles was filled with obstacles to go over (5ft high walls) and under (low tunnels that you had to commando crawl through...this was put on by the Marines), then 3 puch up stations.

This was a sweet race!!! If anyone is in Southern California next October, would highly recommend this run.

Great job. Gotta talk to the MCCS peeps at MCRD Parris Island about sponsoring one of these races. Ran their Harvest Moon night race just last night.
