Hi, I've been hanging around for about a month now. I'm finding the Training log really useful in seeing where the hours are going! I've been "persuaded" into the London Tri next August - only the supersprint but I'm scared of the Open Water! Hope to be under an hour - I did a practise go using the gym pool and managed 57'11" so I'm hopeful. Running is my strongest bit and am working on my swimming an biking - hadn't ridden a bike in over 20 years till last month! I really think the cross training is helping my running though! This is a great site and enjoying saying "I'm a triathlete"!!

Hope all is going well for everyone
Rachael

Welcome! I am officially jealous - every time I see the London sprint on the calendars I start thinking, "Ohhh, what a great reason to go back to London!"

hi Racheal

Welcome to the friendly crowd, they're really encouraging folk.

I've too not long joined the BT site, I am very much a beginner
[learning to swim past 25meters without a break, learning to run/walk on a treadmill (I'm scared of the road traffic) and oh, yes, recently bought cycle-clip-shoes to use on spin-bikes at the gym, my feet are too long for cages, I have pedal on me toes in cages, that hurts the calf after a while (but haven't got the pedals for my bike yet!)

If you like a laugh have a look at the forum "First Ride and First Fall in bike shoes!"

Almost forgot to say, I'm a Brit too, an English man in Wales.

Hiya! Glad to find another person from this side of the pond. I can't do cages and am going to go back to regular pedals (my bike came with compulsory cages!) Will check out your thread! Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome! Trouble with being a baby and doing the super sprint is the run isn't in the fun places! But I might try to ask nicely if I can change my distance!
