I'm planning my schedule for 2006, based on 2005 dates and am wondering if you have any recommendations for beginner races - I'm only going to do sprints the first year. I'm signing up for the Tri-U-Mah as my first ever race. Thanks!

tri-u-mah is a great race. two sprints i would recommend are minneman and brewhouse short course. triamerica also seemed like a good beginner course, although there are a couple climbs on the bike. st. croix is another sprint that i would only recommend if you really like hills on the bike.

I too am planning my first season in 2006. I have decided Minneman is one. I think I have my wife committed to a Duluth weekend so I would do Brewhouse as # 2. I'm also signed up for the Tri-U-Mah and want to do the Ironman ride in April.
