In a way I'm glad the Bruins lost and got it over with.  Now there is no waiting for the other shoe to fall, so to speak.  I admit to being a bandwagon fan this year, there is only so much disappointment a fan can take.

But on the bright note, the Sox took 3 of 4 from NY and Schilling looked great the other day!  Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.....it's only April.......

If the Boston sport fans were in their right mind, they'd go on strike and the first game next year would see an empty Fleet Center. It's pathetic. But then didn't someone say something along the lines of "never going broke underestimating the gullibility of the American public"?? I guess we are pathetic too. Well, I'm glad it's over and now I can concentrate on motorcycle racing! Woo hoo...Valentino Rossi won the first race of the season Sunday, he's picking up where he left off last year!

Ellen,

Nice Avatar. The Yankees bats need to wake up. I am sure they will. BTW- business week had a pretty good article in it about the owner of the Red Sox.

Max, I haven't paid much attention to the NHL in a while, but I was listening to WEEI this afternoon and it sounds as if the next season is going to be a bust anyhow.  Contract disputes and an owner lock-out sound like they are looming.

I could not care less.  As long as I have my son's hockey to watch I don't need the NHL

I did hear them say there were no sold out games until after February, when they did finally take some action to improve the roster.  And even then it was less than a dozen games that were sold out.  That's probably as close to an empty house as you'll see in Boston.  People still show up for Celtics game too, right?  And people showed up all those years the Patriots were in the cellar too.

Kevin, I'm off to search for that article.  Without even seeing it I'd guess it is favorable towards the new owner's business plan.  Around here they are affectionately called "Theo (the GM) and the Trio."

well, not any more. I wanted Montreal to win, knew Tampa Bay is better, but I didn't expect it over in four... Good job Tampa Bay.

I think every other fan is too nervous to say anything yet! Several of the series are pretty close! I'm a Flyers fan myself - and hugely bummed that my team went from 2-0 to 2-2!
