5 miler 8:30. Largest Road Race in Rockland County. 1200 partiicpants asked to bring canned goods for the local pantry. Nice race, nice cause, nice reason to have a 2nd slice of Pecan Pie!

Home in time to get the bird in the oven and listen to Alice's Restaurant at noon (all NY radio stations don't suck!)

Yours?
Happy Thanksgiving All,
Mark

Unfortunately I'll not be running...ankle injury...but I still plan on going to help out. A 10K at Presque Isle in Erie, PA. Over 1000 participants, lots of fun. I've done it the past couple of years ever since I started this tri stuff.

Turkey Trot in Rockford IL, guess your time at registration and can't wear a watch. Anyone who gets their time (and the 5 closest) get a frozen turkey.

Manchester Road Race 4.748 miles, 69th running.  Usually around 10,000 runners/walkers.  Looks like snow for the race this year, should be fun.

The Dallas Turkey Trot has a 3-miler and 8-miler and 23,000 runners between them both. Should be a lot of fun this year.

barring the fact that i haven't trained in 3 weeks, i'm getting totally pumped!

I'm doing the Denver United Way 4 mile Turkey Trot with my two daughters - My son and hubby are not running but have volunteered. Here are the stats of this race from last year:

  • More than 8,000 participants from 38 states
  • Raised more than $200,000
  • Youngest registered participant: age 4
  • Oldest registered participant: age 94
Should be a lot of fun. It will be my first 'official' running race so I'm excited. I just want to finish this one without walking.

Doing my first 5 mile run in Easton MA at 8 am. It is a fundraiser for the town's cross country team. I wish I was doing the 5 mile run with Max and other MA BTers but my parents are in town from MN and not good idea to ditch out for 4 hours for a race. My Dad used to drive me to early morning figure skating practice. He has offered to drive me to the race..how cool is it to be 44 and have your parents come to a race and be supportive.

Looking forward to doing a 5 mile race and try to pace myself well and have fun!
