Subject: Hi!
Hi everyone! I am brand new to this site and hope it keeps me motivated to do triathlons. I am new to the sport and can't wait. I have a mini-tri coming up in May and just went to a triathlon clinic last week. I have been a runner all my life and 4 years ago I bought my own mountain bike. Just this past summer I conquered (or at least got more confident) about the swimming thing...even though I have always been able to swim I just could not freestyle for more than 1 minute! Anyway, I am really excited that I found this website and can't wait to hear what everyone has to say! :-)

Hi Suzanne--

Welcome to the forum!! What's the distance of your mini-tri?? When is it exactly?? We like to keep track of these things here... :-)

Hi! I wish I could find a mini-mini-tri around here. Seems that I'm too close to Boulder, and everyone has something to prove. Of course, I'm out to prove I can do it, too! The info, and people, here are great. Good luck!

Another "welcome" from another "newbie". This site is great - I lurked for awhile but have jumped in recently and love the advice and the training logs.
Hey, are you anywhere near Columbia? I lived there for about 9 years, left there 3 years ago this summer. There was always a triathlon in Columbia and it always interested me although it took me until now to actually DO anything about it! My first tri comes up in July (sprint).
Good luck and have fun!
