Subject: Introduction
Hello all! I've just wrapped my head around the fact that I am ready to commit to a training plan. I'm a 40+ mother of two in not-so-good shape. I need a workout goal that goes beyond vanity, so I decided to train for the triathlon (sprint). This sport appeals to my competative nature, and with three events, I'm bound to be good at one of them! Sooo... as a newbie I welcome any/all advice and encouragement-especially the encouragement. ;-)

Hi Roni!
I too am new at this and I am training to do my first sprint in May 2004. I am 33 years old with 4 children. I am finding that training gives me such a rush. My kids think its cool that I am doing this too. I even have my 10 year old boy doing 1 mile runs with me through the local running club - he's having a blast. My 7 year old girl wants to start doing it too.
Just though you'd like to know there are other "newbies" out here too!
