Subject: LG Rocket vs. Chrono
I'm putting an aero helmet on my X-mas list and i can't decide between the Rocket and Chrono.  They are virtually the same price (I found a closeout on the 05 Rocket for $99).  Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I've done some research on aero helmets in the past.....but have not used either. They both got good reviews, with the exception of poor ventilation. With the 2006 model of the Rocket out the price on the 2005 has come down. I believe the 2006 model has more ventilation. Also the Limar Crono looks to have better ventilation, but both these helmets cost more. What distance are you planning on using the helmet for? If not long distance in the heat then you should be fine with either, then it just comes down to what feels better or looks better.....

I'll be racing Oly and HIM distance in 2006.  I know ventilation isn't as good as a regular helmet but most of the pros at Kona were wearing them this year so it must not be too bad.  I would much prefer the new Bell (http://www.bellbikehelmets.com/europe/productDetail.asp?prodID=3) Specialized (http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=2541) or Giro Advantage aero helmet because they appear to have better ventilation and look cooler but they are not approved for use in the US.  Only reason I'm leaning towards the LG Chrono over the Rocket is that it looks like it would be slightly cooler without the ear flap covering the lower part of my head. 

Looks like the $99 deal on the Rocket is gone...only smalls left...guess I'll pick up a Chrono.
