Subject: A word of Thanks...

As I pack for my first Spint Tri tomorrow, I wanted to send out a thank you to all of you who have giving me encoragement and advice over the past 3 months. At some level everyone is helping everyone else either directly or indirectly and its a great modivational factor. When I first found this site It was simply to use the training logs, but after getting involved in the forums - I found that to be the best part of the site. Some of the stories I've read on here are unbelieveable!! The progress and fitness level that many of you have achived is truely an incredible story.

My story is modest as compared to many of you, but this first triathlon will be a great milestone in my life, as I will turn the focus of my lifestyle to a healty and fitness oriented one.

Thanks again and good luck with your training and racing.

That's great. Good Luck! I'm training for my first tri also, and am incredibly inspired and motivated by those on this board who decided to "just begin" before me.

I'll be waiting to hear the details. The perspective of a first timer is a valuable thing when you haven't done one yet.

Well I finished my first race. Aside from the weather, it was a great time.  Now I really have the bug!!! I wanted to go running the night after the race. However, I decided to skip the run and have a few Martinis instead ...

Found some things I need to work on, also surprised myself in some areas. I logged a race report - Take a look.

Congrats! I can't wait to read your race report. I have been composing my own in my mind and my race is still 7 weeks away! I definately know the feeling about wanting to do more, I did a big brick this weekend and had to stop myself last night from doing too much.
