Subject: Nose Crunchers
Hi, I'm new to the site and I just read the first article in the strength training sections. I have no idea what nose crunchers are. Can somebody help me out?

Nose crunchers are a triceps exercise, where you lie on a bench (or floor). Holding a barbell/dumbbell at arm's length above your chest, lower it so that it almost touches your nose by bending your elbows. Then extend your arms, again only flexing from the elbow. It's very effective for triceps, but the risk of using a too-heavy weight leads to the name...

yes...be very careful and have a spotter that pays attention to you on these...u can get a nasty case of tendinitis if trying to do them by your lonesome or if your spotter doesnt catch u when u fatigue....on the decline, dont let your upper arms/forearms get less than 90 deg.
