Subject: Bike Computer Wrong?
I am pretty sure my bike computer is off. It seems like the odometer is only reading .85 miles for every mile I go. So if this is the case it would make the MPH off as well. Anyone ever have this happen before or know how to correct it?

make sure the wheel size is correct... that should fix it.

Either your wheel size is off or you could have it set on km instead of miles....also check your magnet, although I doubt that is the case.

If the magnet is not in the "suggested location" on the wheel it can throw off your reading sometimes (assuming the wheel rolling distance is accurate).

i dont see how putting the magnet in the wrong place would change anything. its a wheel. there is no wrong place. any point along the spoke that is generalized at a line in space would cross in front of the sensor at the same time no matter where it was on the spoke.

unless of course you mean that the magnet isn't in line with the sensor, which probably isn't the case since it would NEVER read in that case.
