Subject: FOGGY swim goggles
My local Sports Authority ran out of anti-fog spray for swim goggles. Anyone know of another way to keep my goggles fog free? (Spitting doesn't work). Also, I picked up some anti-fog gel that is supposed to be used for dive masks, not goggles. Anyone use it anyway?

I have not tried the gel.  I have used baby shampoo in the past.  My goggles fog regardless of what I use. Try to keep them on once you start swimming and don't take them off.  I find that once i take them off during the swim session they start fogging every 100m or so. I use the the spray from speedo and let the spay dry over night.  Some body suggested catcrap  ( see other realated thread in gear ??) but I find it scratches the lenes.

Spitting doesn't work? It works great for me. Maybe you're not spitting enough!

I ran out of spit after the last presidential election.

Spit works but it can't be just wet spit. It has to have some of the viscous stuff in there. Also, it works better if the spit is applied to a dry lens, rubbed around really good and then rinsed.

Baby shampoo works well too. I picked up a couple of the really small trial size J&J Baby Shampoo bottles and keep them in my bag. Just apply a drop on each dry lens and rub it around real good then rinse well.

Exacto. There's a spit technique. You start with dry goggles, hock a nice big spitwad into both lenses, rub it around to cover the whole surface, then rinse. Clear sailing!
