All right, all. My Oly is this Sunday, and I'm tremendously not in shape for it.

I'm not sure what to say, except that I did a marathon in December, and it's like I can't get myself to run anymore!! BODY ON REVOLT!!

I'll be just fine on the swim and the bike (if not brilliant), but it is more than likely that I'll have to walk half of the run course. So my expectation that I'll finish this hilly (did I mention that it's hilly??) course comfortably under 4 hours is now adjusted to I-hope-that-I-will-finish-under-4-and-a-half!! Ah well. I just started running again after this long, long, long rest break about a week and a half ago, and my body is screaming at me!! Not to mention that the area is experiencing a heat wave, and the afternoon temperatures were at the high 90s. Ugh!! For some weird reason (could it be that it's because their are 7,000 participants?) my wave time isn't until 10 am(!!!!), which means I will start my unsightly run... I mean walk... I mean run at ~1 p.m. I will melt in the heat!!! If you never hear from me again, it's because I have become one with the asphalt!!

But I'm excited to see the big names race--they always come to Wildflower, Peter Reid, De Boom, etc. And I'm excited for me to. Despite my expected poor showing, I love to race, I love to tri!!

Well I went on the Weather channel website, and although it will be cooler than Monday and Tuesday, they still expect it to be in the mid-80s.

I've done the course a few times, and it is relatively tree-free. Sort of relentless sun, but I've got my new sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen!! I'll be fine, I'm sure.

It's been hard to resist going out for last minute training runs!!
