I went swimming last night, and had to baby my shoulder so much it was kind of ridiculous to even be there. On the other hand, it was nice to be in the water again.

Today's plan:
yoga -a new class
running -a short, half-hour thing
lower body weights -a full hour

Short and awkward swim last night. (Had two of my kids with me, so I spent a lot of time keeping on eye on them)

Back to the pool tonight for 1500 yards of solid work

I couldn't get to sleep last night to save my life and I know that training today would be asking for trouble.

25 minutes of drills at the pool, then 20 minutes on the bike/trainer. The weather is supposed to be cold and stormy this weekend for my firts tri. Might even have to wear long-sleeves! Finish. Finish. I'll keep telling myself. The nerves are really starting to kick in, I'm feeling it. 3 days until my first tri.

1000 yard swim. 8x100 intervals. felt link puking after 6.

in-laws...now there's a thread that would rival peanut butter and leg shaving!

Hang in there Katfan! My first is 59 days away and I get a little anxious when I think about it.

Swam for 20 excrutiating minutes. I am still sick, so that wasn't a good idea. I came home and called in sick. I am so achey and sore I can't stand to be with myself.

I also did 30 minutes of yoga thinking it might help my poor aching muscles. It did and I'm feeling slightly better. Stupid flu.

Ran the 4 miles down to the club. Met my wife there and did a 45 minute workout on the bike and treadmill. Felt a lot better than I did yesterday, but I attribute that to getting 6-1/2 hrs sleep vs. 3-1/2 the night before.

Ran about 4 miles this morning at 6:15. Lifting after work then right into the pool for an hour of Master's practice. Should end up doing about 3000 depending on what kind of mood my coach is in :-)

Got my new bike yesterday, can't wait to take it out for a long ride this weekend!!

1250 in the pool: tried to breathe more 'naturally'. It seemed to help, and if I didn't have recurring goggle-problems, I probably could've done more and better. Stopped only so I could have lunch, but I'm SO hungry today. This is my body's way of saying it needs a rest so tomorrow will be a rest day (and early to bed tonight!)

I have thought it was Friday all day and then couldn't figure out where today's thread was!! 20 mile bike ride into town and back. My heiny is feeling a lot better than the last time I did this ride. I started out crabby and resistant and then had a good ride. Moral: how you feel about working out before may have nothing to do with how you feel during it! Going to do my living room type strength training now. Anyone reading this feel free to check out my log and say something derogatory if you don't see some strength training!

tri in 3 days, not too motivated to work out, but finally got off my rear at noon and ran about 2.25 miles with a 5-year old on a bike who seemed to be on a mission to trip me up, and a 2-year old in an umbrella stroller. Interesting run, but I feel better now!

Ran intervals today. Completely enjoyed it. No, I am not losing it entirely... it was because IT WAS SO WARM OUT!!!! 23C and sunny. Windy as heck, but I basked in the warm breezes. I wore shorts, which I haven't done since I was in San Francisco in October!!
Ahhhhhhhh, Heavenly!! :-)
