AAAAAAAAAAAHHH! I just sent my entry for the Connemara International Marathon. The original plan was to run the full mary, but I lost so much training time working at the post office that I decided to go for the half mary option instead and use it to prep for the Columbus Marathon in October as my first. 81 usd is very very expensive, but oh well. I've got the bus and hostel options figured out.

what on earth have I gotten myself into.

A half mary's a good start, you'll do fine.  How much time do you have?

BTV,  I was looking at the Columbus Mary as my first too.  Not sure if the schedule will work out, but if it does I'll see you there.

Good luck. Columbus is a great marathon. You'll have a great time. They do a good job with the race, and the smaller field makes for a little smoother day. I've run Columbus twice, and both times was great.

Have fun !!!!
