You look even cuter than before!  You did a wonderful thing!

I wonder if someone would pay for me to GROW hair (not that it's 100% possible)?

I had a coworker yesterday tell me that "honestly I don't like your hair like that.  I like it better long."  It really made me mad.  I repsonded "well you know it's not about you and what you like.  And it's not about me if I look better with short hair or long hair.  It's about helping little kids with cancer.  If you saw the picture of me with my 6 year old patient hero, both with shaved heads, me holding my pony tails you probably wouldn't have made that comment."  Some people's ignorance amazes me.  He was really quiet after that- I guess I made him think

Chris Tree - 2006-03-02 9:24 AM Hey Janelle, Despite my comments I hadn't lost sight of the reason you did this and the reason you have my admiration. Although I made light of your new do, I didn't mean to make light of the cause.

DOn't worry- ya'll haven't said anything wrong at all.  I've gotten nothing but encouragement and support from all ya'll and you undersatnd the cause.  I was just venting about my coworker because he was so negative about it- that's all.

Janelle,

I have some family members that gave me crap over the the fundraising I have done in support of a local adult daycare facility and thier exercise program (they serve Alzhiemer's paitents). It hurt that it was family and then thier ignorance pissed me off. Not to mention that at 45 with two artificial knees training isn't always a piece of cake. Of course being pissed off makes me all the more determined to succeed. don't let the naysayers get you down - thier idiots! Look at the smile on those two little boys faces and know you did the right thing!

Hopefully when you wake up in the middle of the night and realize that you do not have any hair, you will smile knowing that what you have done is to both raise money for a cure for blood borne cancers as well as awareness.

Besides ... it looks good on you in a Demi Moore I'm-gonna-kick-your-butt-but-in-a-girl-way!

Maybe you could go for implants... the full barbie doll hair look. Ties into the thread on compliments - was talking to someone the other day who told me I could get them in a couple of years if my hairs retreat continues.

PS - Janelle, you look smoking like that!
