Subject: No time to eat a real dinner
So I have 5 hours of class back to back one night a week starting next week, with only about a 10-20 minute break when I can get dinner(eating in class is not a problem). I go straight from work to class, which is a fairly long drive and I usually get to class about 15 minutes late due to the fact I can't leave work any earlier. My classes meet in an office building that is right across the street from a McDonald's, Wendy's, a pizza place, and a convience store. Given that eating at 10 PM is really too late for me to eat dinner and I have to eat something during my class time, anyone got any suggestions of what to eat?

I'm not sure what you usually eat for dinner, or what kind of calorie intake you have, but here's what I did when I had a similar schedule a few semesters ago:
Lara Bars, or thinkorganic bars (dried fruit and nuts, very filling and yummy), along with a non-squishable piece of fruit and a juice box of milk. The mix kept me full and satiated until I got home, where I usually had a turkey sandwich before bed.
I tried really hard to eat a big breakfast on my two "killer days." Oatmeal with fruit, peanut butter sandwich, the works, all before 10am. That way, I sort of grazed on baby carrots, celery, and fruit for lunch and dinner, and still felt okay. I really like to pound away the fruit, because the sugar kept me going. I always had either a turkey sandwich or peanut butter and banana sandwich right before bed. I have insomnia, and eating a small snack right before bed helped me conk out. Hope that helps a little.

Is there anyway that you can bring leftovers and reheat it before you leave work?  A friend did that when she had a similar schedule.

On long days like that I pack a lunchbox size cooler with a sandwich or whatever.

If you're really rushed for time and have to do fast food, think smaller. I usually get a jr. bacon cheeseburger, side salad and water from Wendy's. And a hamburger happy meal from McDonald's is okay occasionally. And if the pizza place sells by the slice, there you go! Also, Nature Valley makes an awesome peanut bar with decent protein/carb/fat content. Or pack supper and leave it in a cooler in your car.

I'm a big fan of the bags of 94% fat free microwaveable popcorn (not kettle korn). Lots of fiber, low cal, low fat, tasty, easy to make, and it makes everyone around you jealous that they don't have some too!

PB&J is always better than fast food, and cheaper too. Choose pretzels instead of chips for accompanying salty/crunchy-ness.
