Rugbykid...

Can you describe "NICE HILL" for those of us who live in flat-land country?

 Thanks!

How many of you guys are planning on having to walk some of the run?  I am planning to run the whole thing....

If my sprint history translates to my olympic progression I should screw up majorly at some point.... ;(

If that is the case it will probably be on the run.

Bro- how about some positive thinking- the above isn't very good in terms of doing well. "Whether you think you can or can't, you are usually right" - Henry Ford

Okay Ricci....just for that I'm taking you out!! Just kidding.... I can honestly say that I can see where all my base training over the last 6 months or so has paid off.   I will be ready for MiM but it took me 4 sprint tri's to get a race that I didn't have some kind of malfunction.... Flat tire, horrible nausea or just plan out of gas on the run... I finished them all though.

Even Mr Ford would have to say that there is nothing like experience...

Bring it mr Biseman! I LOVE competition.

Pacing, pacing, pacing - and good tires should help you a lot this time through.

Just a little heads up..... MiM is about 2 months away .... so if you haven't been training now would be a decent time to start.....

Anybody know of a decent hotel within 30 minutes from the race site? I've waited too late and it looks like anything decent in Millington is booked.

I live in Oakland which is about 25 minutes away. There is a Comfort Inn there. I would give them a call. I doubt anyone even knowa its there.

Nevermind, I got spooked when the lady at the Admiralty Inn said "I hope you don't want anything for May 20." and booked a room at the Embassy Suites somewhere on the far other side of Memphis. Looks like I'll just be getting up a few minutes earlier.

Anybody have a rough guess of drive time that early on a Sunday?

I'm going to be in Memphis for a few days next month - does anyone work downtown and know of some good places to run during lunch or after work?

Hey, what;s up!

I'm out for the race. I ended up signing up for my first OLY here in Arkansas. It's a week earlier and capped at 125. I just did Austin with almost a 1000 people, so I'm kinda stepping down for a bit. If time frame is bad for anyone here is the link for the ArkanThaw.

I would totally be into jockstrapping for you all...hmm...now that is something I never thought I would say....since I would love to see a tri before I actually do one and well I love to bring a smile on someone's face so if all it takes is a cold beer....

that is if ya'll are willing to let a chick do this....it may be you want some quality guy time so you can pick up other tri chicks

I do not discriminate on jockstrappers!! You would be more than welcomed. Plus you can help take pictures of the hot tri chicks while we are out racing!!! Chris and I are going up on Friday to hit the expo and so we can be there to watch my coach race the mountain bike challenge on saturday.

It's MAY! Who is FIRED UP to race? Everybody been getting in there race pace workouts - track work? Hard swim intervals? Everybody ready to let it rip in TWENTY DAYS?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Sunday post-race sounds good.  With the pro staying at my house, I don't want him to feel crowded or not get the rest he needs.  Now as for us, well....
