Okay, I know how to stretch when I run, but are there any specific stretches after you finish biking? Seem to notice that my tri's are a bit sore and my hands are aching. Any advice out there?

Thanks,
Evelyn

I can't recommend anything for the hands, other than wear padded gloves. But, a good tri stretch:
1) Place your left hand behind your head, so that your left elbow is above your head
2) With your right hand, gently pull on your left elbow, as if trying to pull it directly over your head
Reverse and repeat for the right arm.

I also will interlock my hands, and push my palms outward as far as I can. This doesn't stretch my tris as much, but it's a good way to loosen them before doing the above stretch.

Good luck!

I have found that 20 minutes of yoga stretches after my run, swim, or long bike makes all the difference in the world. I am serious! I just Tivo "Yoga Zone" so I have a variety to choose from. It is my reward for swimming...I hate swimming. No...no, I love swimming. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts.

Sorry, I went to my happy place for a moment there.

Anyhow, the nice thing about the yoga moves is that they are deep, slow stretches and they hit all areas of the body.

As for the hands, they make a product call bar phat or phat wrap, which is replacement bar tape that is real thick, I test road a new bike a couple of weeks ago and it felt great. You might want to try it. AL.
