Some of you are reading this may think a milestone may mean I finally drank my way into being a regular at the dialysis clinic......

I've somehow managed to cut my Diet Crack Coke consumption by 90%, from 200 ounces a day to 20. Just so you know, it CAN be done. I've actually had a few days with none at all.

I'd been drinking the stuff for more than 10 years, and tried to quit probably a dozen times. Going on six weeks now at 1 or less a day. Feels great. I'm going to try to cut it out completely before the season starts....

Speaking as someone who drinks between 5-12 cans a day congrats, I know how hard it is.

Congrats, I went cold turkey from ~10 cans aday to zero in Jan. The worst part wasn't having caffine in my system and being tired as a result.

It was a combo! 20 ounce bottles, or big'o 44 ounce cups from the hospital cafeteria...

Nothing, if you drink it in normal human quantities!

good job.  I'm going on 2 months without touching ANY coke-like product.  If it's carbonated and/or artificially sweetened, I haven't touched it.  Only vice is an occasional glass of sweetened ice tea (but thats surcose, not HFCS so I'm good).

It is getting harder.  I see the commercials for coke and start craving it.  must.....hold.....out....

So you wouldn't even touch club soda or sparkling water? Why is that? I am drinking sparkling water in lieu of diet soda. I like to burp.

Personally I can't stand Coke of any kind. Pepsi is soooo much better, and come to think of it I don't drink very often either

And yet I'm a teenager...hmmm...

well first off I can't stand the taste of sparkling water...

I avoid carbonation because dissolving CO2 in solution makes it really acidic, which is horrible for your teeth and not that hot for the rest of the digestive system either.  I've had perfect teeth for 24 years and I want to keep them as long as I can.

So I stick to water, tea, coffee and real fruit juices (Squirt and Orange soda do not count as fruit juice).

That's quite a change!  Good job!  I was congratulating myself when I cut back from about 40oz per day to about 12.  I can't imagine cutting back that much - it's really hard.

200 ounces a day!!!!!   Now there's an EXPENSIVE COKE HABIT!!!!!   Glad to see you are kicking that habit.  The carbination had to really be messing up the sinuses.

Have fun on that wagon!!!!

Wow.. that's good to know. My mom and I spent too much money on my teeth, I don't want to get them messed up.

i'm coming up on 2 years soda and caffeine free. it's one of those things that after awhile gets incredibly easy. cola and such doesn't even appeal to me at all anymore. sweet sweet water and grapefruit juice.
