Hi gang...I registered quite a number of months ago and may have posted a few times, but since it's been so long since then, I thought I'd say hello! I'm a 52 year old age grouper getting ready for my first sprint in August. Had started training for one last summer but learned about S-L-O-W training work-ups and injury prevention. Hopefully, I learned my lesson! Had plantar faciitis for about 9 months as well as a leg strain from over-running. Had to quit running for 10 months altogether. It went away and now I'm training more knowledgably. I'm an average athlete, 5'-8", fairly well built except for a little winter balast I'm working off! I'm very interested in sharing info with post 50's age groupers and would like to help in any area I can. Motivation and inspiration as well as "life perspective" are my strong areas. Also nutrition. Have a degree in communication
...airline pilot...musician...hopeless romantic. The guys are probably rolling their eyes about now, 'cause it's starting to sound like a "personal" but just thought it might help to give a little info about myself. I have a special interest in cycling and ride a Softride R1 (straight carbon beam, aluminum frame). I look forward to sharing info, techniques and friendship with you. Thanks...Scott

Welcome Scott!  You are a kid compared to me - SLOW - you bet.  Yup - I'm rolling my eyes - (not what you think maybe) - I'm a private (not current) pilot, play guitar and trumpet - (well - kind of) and am on a kick right now to get mid lifers and old folks into a fitness lifestyle.  It wll be great tohave you here!
