I have been job hunting for ages, then BOOM! two options.

Job 1... New company to the US market with a great business sense and a great opportunity. Less money guaranteed, but the potential is there. I would be the first hire in the US...If the company does well, that would be a quick ride to the top.

Job 2...Established company in the banking industry, more guaranteed money but less opportunity.

decisions decisions!

Ok, you told me about Job 1 last week. Does Job 2 have the same flexibility? Banking = set hours. They might be good hours though. What about stress level?

Had a neighbor who tried option #1 a few years ago.  Turned out the foreign company had not done their research on how their product would be received or who their competition was here and the thing went pfffffft in a year and a half.  He hated it because he was always traveling and had to answer to people overseas for their failure to plan.  Make sure they did their homework and understand the market here.

I'd go option 2, but I'm less risky in that department than most people.

Best of luck.

I have made my decision. Job 1 it is. Job 2 is the safer route with an established company etc. But Job 2 specializes in checking...arguably a dinosaur of the past. All I can do is cross my fingers, bust my *** and hope it works out!

I read quick and thought Job 2 was in the spanking industry. Which is more interesting than the banking industry.

Oh well.

the spanking industry would be more interesting. I can just imagine the acceptance speech for employee of the year.

I would like to spank all of you for your hard work and dedication.....

My acceptance speech:

"I'd like to thank all those who volunteered their services, your hard work and perseverance really shows, I couldn't be here without you."
