This morning on the Today Show there was a segment about Locks of Love. Anne Curry, the news anchor, has been growing her hair for a year and she cut her hair this morning. They featured a young teenage girl who was getting her hair for the first time today and it was so touching. Janelle, you did a GREAT thing. Natalie Portman shaved her head for a movie, and probably got paid a lot of money. You did it because you're kind person. You ROCK!!

Awesome - I donated my hair last month - 13 inches. I am planning on growing it again, but it may take another year before I can donate again.

I think it's an excellent charity.  I was looking at my pony tails and thought how happy some little girl is going to be when she gets a wig made a real hair   I think we take little things for granted such as having hair and don't realize how grateful we are to have something that simple.

I wonder if more people will donate now that Anne Curry has?  I mean what she did is excellent publicity for Locks of Love.

I can't wait to see Natalie Portman's movie with her shaved head!  Maybe women with shaved heads will be the next fad!

It such a good cause. I know a girl, sweet, beautiful, kind, wonderful. She was diagnosed with cancer and did the whole chemotherapy thing. I remember how the loss of the hair affected her. She cut her hair short at first and did the “old” lady hair style to hide it, and then she had almost nothing. Her parents bought her a really nice wig, and it was like night and day for her self-esteem. She told me that losing her hair was like her most insecure moment growing up times 100. Janelle you did such a good thing!!!!
