Subject: what a disappointment
after having a stroke last year, deciding to do a try-a-tri, been reading up on all the proper techniques etc, my doctor says NO!!, sure (maybe) he knows best, but I think I know how I feel??!! any suggestions???

Don't hesitate to get a second opinion! I would make sure that the Dr. understands that you are talking about a short sprint, not an Ironman distance. If people are unfamilar with the sport they only know about what they see on T.V. and those are usally full ironman distances.

I agree, get a second opinion. Just cos you had a stroke doesent mean your over the hill. Yes you need to go with what the Doc says, however get the second opinion, a healthy life style makes for a healthy body.
