Hey folks--

I just had a bit of an academic success. I'm heading off to seminary soon, and to get myself in the school groove, I've been taking classes at the local community college. One of the classes I decided to take was a creative writing course. Never done anything like that before, AND IT WAS REALLY HARD WORK!! I guess (since it was community college) it could have been as hard as I wanted it to be, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and never really go half-measure.

Any-who....

The thing is, I submitted one of my pieces to the local art and literary journal and it was accepted!! I just got a copy of it yesterday, and I'm so pleased!!

It wasn't even a real story... only sort of a thing-a-ma-bopper.

But, even though you can't see it, I'M GRINNING!!

Dana

Awesome Dana!  I love creative writing.  You can really pour your soul into it.  Very cool to get it published!

Way to go Dana! I am so envious because I can't imagine dragging myself back to school at this age. All I really know I learned when I was 5 years old.

Congratulations! I'd love to be published one day. In fact, while the boy is out tonight, I think I'm going to work on my "Great Novel". ;-)

That's fantastic!  Be sure to write a good triathlon story for us to read some day.  And a kids book for Levi, too!

Dana,Congrats on being published! Your post gave me a thrill and reminded me what it was like to have a new found love of writing and publishing something. It's an experience I first had many years ago when my first stories were published. It's a great feeling isn't it?Congrats.
