Comments:

Got some fantastic send off and cheers from BT peeps and relatives. This was a trememndous inspiration. KathyG was all smiles as she headed off with cappy jack sparrow.

Ran the race with my training partner and good friend and fellow BTer Nicole and her friend. She wanted to do a race pace, which we did.

Lots of fun and chatting along the course. Nicole and her friend 'inflight refueled' off my fuel belt as we went along. That was cool. We saw KathyG and rob headed up the course. Cheered them on!!

At one point, a crew of police and emts were doing cpr on a guy right in the middle of the course!! Not sure if he was a runner or not. Hope he enjoyed running at least!!

At about the 10 mile mark, we all did an assesment of what we had left and decided to kick up the pace a bit. Got into a 'zone' and just went for it!!

Nicole and her bud got a personal best of 1:51. WOOHOO!!

Personal best for me too! Felt really good throughout the course. Negative splits. reserved enough to provide a kick.

Great to see a BT cheering squad at theh finish line!! Isis, akabak, celeb ..You gals ROCK!!!!!
What would you do differently?:

nothing. Had plenty of enjoyment and fun with a mix of uppper efforts.
Post race
Warm down:

grabbed some drink and a bar, grabbed some hugs and warm clothes. We did a 1.5 mile cool down for a 16 mile total day.

will log the other miles on yesterday so as not to screw up the 1/2 mary times.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

experience, age, genes,

Event comments:

Psssssssssst

I knew it was a PR yesterday!

1:49! IN. SANE!

Look out Boston!

That's so funny that Nicole and her bud were inflight refueling off of you.  You're just a regular KC-135! Who was it that said women always use men? SO NOT TRUE.
