Slightly related question - whether we are talking uniforms, sharpies or tattoos are people going "BT" at non-tri events?  Run only, bike only type events.  I'm just curious.  For example, someone with a BT tri suit, will you be wearing it at "run only" events this year?

Probably not. Might look kinda geeky running a marathon in a tri-suit, not to mention there are more comfortable apparel choices.

But I'd love to have the tatoos to wear in running races and centuries.

Works alright for a running race, but wouldn't the "custom" leg marking interfere with the "official" triathlon body marking (age/bib#)?

Isn't that only supposed to be on the right leg?  That's sort of why I suggested the left leg or use a different color than black.

Some tris do your age on one leg and the bib # on the other.

I'm screwed no matter what.

I'll be sporting my $100 BT full tri-suit. I think that is more than enough for people to recognize my allegiances!!

Good point! Any update as to when the goods are coming in?

I'd still be interested in the Tat for road races...

That's why I asked.  I think a variety of marking options is a great idea.  Markers, tattoos, uniforms/suits.  whatever.  Just be on the lookout for each other.  I also think we should talk in our Who's Racing forums and make plans to meet at starts/finishes.

I'm going to do that at Shamrock this weekend! See if I can find some unknown BTers.

I MIGHT be mistaken, but I think the picture posted above was from Gasparilla, which is two (more or less) events short of a triathlon.

I know, what I was getting at was that I don't think any one suggestion is the total answer.  I also was specifically curious about the tri suits and shorts/singlets.  I guess I could have phrased the question differently, but Bear answered along the lines I was thinking.

BT singlet for running races and a BT t-shirt for afterwards.

I think the ETA on the uniforms is mid-April, so people should be wearing them at St. Anthony's.

Yeah, guess I'm going to have to get those. Hope Ron ordered extra.

I'd be interested in the tattoos too. All the races I have planned this year are bike races, so I can't wear the BT uniform. Hangloose, I know what you were getting at.

I don't think there is an USAT rule against tattoos. I've seen plenty of people with sponsor tattoos at races: Amino Vital, Powerbar, etc. They have them on their faces, arms and legs.

There was a dude that ran the B&A Trail 1/2 mary that had a full suit sporting the TriSports logo all over it ...... and he was ahead of me by about 5 minutes so he was moving out. Would not be my choice of running apparel!

Sorry for getting in on this late...been busy at work.

Ummmm....I will get things going on this tonite when I get home.  I have some good high-res graphics.  I will be at home watching the kids tomorrow so I should be able to get the graphic emailed and the order in to be delivered to me in a week or two.  I will be using the people bear found.

So I guess the concensus is the 2x2?  Do you want it to say anything below the logo?

*Regarding the LouisGarneau BT gear.  It is about 2weeks behind schedule as there was final artwork that had to be done and hashed which took longer than I planned.  But everything is authorized now and the money has been paid.  If they stick to their 8 weeks, I should receive them at the very end of April or the first of May to be mailed out to you.  Sorry St. Anthony BT'ers and others-I really wanted you all to have them for that.  If anybody has an issue with the timeframe, please contact me.

2X2 works for me, that's fairly big for a temp tattoo. Are you going to sell them through the website or do you want advance orders?

I agree with Bear I think the 2*2 is fine and I wouldn't go over the 2.5*3.

I will purchase them and then get them in the store once I have some real pictures of them...for total turnaround maybe 2-3 weeks till I'm able to mail them out.

I'm thinking a '10 for $10' type of thing.
