...Friday is the 23rd anniversary of the landmark Pink Floyd album. Here are two ways to commemorate:
Coverville, the wonderfully eclectic, all-coversong podcast, released in Episode 190 "The Covered Side of the Moon."
Tonight we celebrate the anniversary of one of rock and roll's most famous albums: Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", presented tonight in cover form (with the exception of "Speak to Me", the short preamble to "Breathe". Nine different artists, eight different albums, and many different genres, from bluegrass to a cappella, from orchestral to reggae. http://www.coverville.com/
Damn that's nice for $60. Let's see, All3 delivery coming tomorrow (w/ a long sleeve shirt), maybe I should have this delivered to the office. Then when my wife sees it, it'll be too late to return, right?
I have a SACD (Super Audio CD) of Dark Side in 5.1 surround sound. Until you have heard the full resolution surround sound version, you have not heard Dark Side of the Moon!! It is the way it was meant to be heard, with the sounds coming from all around. An awsome mix. Words cannot describe, you must come over and hear it for yourself at referance level (loud).
aaahh, Pink Floyd. Dark Side of the Moon. One of the GREATEST albums ever, ever, ever! Oregon Ballet Theater did a rock ballet to Dark Side of the Moon and it was awesome! It's the first ballet performance I've ever taken my husband to. Let's just say he liked the music.
