As many of you may know I did the Sudbury Sprint about two weeks ago. Pictures were posted at www.brightroom.com/me.asp?3960043 . I know that I love to ride and that picture was relatively flattering, but the run pictures were pitiful. The first two look like I am going to die and were taken just after T2 and the last two were taken during a sprint to the finish. Very unflattering. So has anyone else had such humbeling photos shown up. At least I knew I was not a great runner now Kodak has proved it.

You may not like the pictures (who of us usually does?) but it looks like you did a great job in your race. Congrats.

Don't feel bad Nancy, every picture I have of me running s----s (can I say that on BT?)

Remember it's not a fashion photo shoot--it's a race picture. Look at the sports pages at the athletes--they don't look so good either!

LOL Evelyn ;-)

I agree with the others that say that pictures of athletes are rarely flattering.  How can one look good when you are busting your butt and giving your all???

Great job on the race!

I agree. All the photos taken of me in competition over the years look like I'm about 10 minutes from going belly-up! Although this one of me at the recent Mid-Ohio duathlon was probably the best of the bunch. I liked it enough to order a 20" x 30" poster...LOL

don't feel bad, seriously.

and remember that the photographers out there on the course are not friends/family and they are not trying to take good pictures of the athletes - they are just clicking away.

and there is a difference. i have been taking pictures of my husband's races for almost 5 years now and it took me awhile to learn timing of taking pictures, especially on the run. but he's generally the only one i'm taking pictures of and i can wait and bide my time and select a spot to be patient and get the most flattering shot of him. and i generally take about 5 pictures to get 1 decent one.

besides, it doesn't matter what you looked like doing it - you did it!
