I was improperly fit for the bike and it is too big for me.  Need to sell so I can get a bike in the correct size  It is in perfect condition, and has only been ridden a couple of times.   90 miles total.

Bike DOES NOT come with pedals, cages and computer.  I'm keeping these for the replacement bike.

New, the bike is around $1600 -$1700.  Asking $1250, which includes packing and shipping anywhere in the continental U.S.

How big of a person are you?
How big of a person might fit on this bike?

I'm just under 6 feet, but fit depenmds a lot on measurements other than height, inclusing inseam, leg length, torso length, etc.  If you have a LBS that can do a fit on you and look at the geometry of the bike, it would help...I certainly don;t want you to go what I've gone through having a great bike that doesn't fit!

I am planning to go to a LBS tomorrow to check out this bike. I was at a different shop today to check out the Felt 32 and Specialized Transition Comp. Realistically I probably will not be buying for a couple of months but I am researching now.

Besides not being properly fitted...what did you think of the bike in general? Good components...wheels...etc?

When I am ready to buy I'll check back to see if you still have this one.

Not being an expert by any means, I don't know how the E7 compares to the Felt, but I can tell you that it is a nice bike, with decent components, wheels, etc.  Glad you are going to the LBS and doing your homework.  Good luck finding the perfect bike for you, and if it happens to be the E7, let me know if/when you are interested.

Have a great weekend.

So I'm interested in the bike, I'm just curious if Trek sizes are consistent across the board. Meaning, I ride a 58cm Trek 1200, do you know if I should expect to ride the same size tri bike as road bike, or do the sizes differ at all? Thanks!

Hey Drew,

To be honest, I'm not sure.  I think geometry can be checked at www.trekbikes.com.   I'll take a look in a bit.  But with different seat angles, etc., you should probably get measured at a LBS that does tri fits before buying the tri bike, just to be safe.

Here's another question for ya... I have a road bike that I'm in the process of repairing. By repairing I mean replacing the front wheel, fork, and components. If I'm planning on doing a good amount of hill climbing will a tri bike put me at a significant disadvantage as compared to having a roadie for the climbs?

The reason why I ask is because I'm going to take my time fixing my roadie up. I am definitely in the market for another bike as a result. Thanks again!

Drew,

I live in an area with ZERO hills, so I can't be much help here, but I do know that a lot of people ride tri bikes on hills all the time...IMLP is a perfect example.  My road bike has a triple chainring, so I have decided that I will likely use it at IMCDA so that I have some extra "bail out" gears for the hills, but as soon as I get my new tri bike, I intend on using it for future races, hills or no hills!

Brandt,

I'm getting more and more interested in the bike. I just called a few different bike shops in the area and they all told me that I the Equinox series sizes are the same as their road sizes. I'll have to talk to the wifey about the bike and get ahold of the insurance company that is covering my collision. I'll send you a PM when we figure out what's going on. Thanks!

Drew
