What do you all do with spare tubes and tools to fix a flat on rides? What about during a race? I assume you bring equipment just in case, but where do you put it all?

On training rides, I carry on the bike in a little bike bag that fits in a water bottle cage (one of 3 cages on my bike):

Two Quik Stik tire levers
A multi-hex wrench
A combo pedal/headset wrench (I still have quill stems on my bikes)
An offset wrench for centering brakes
A chain tool

I also carry a mini pump on the bike -- a Blackburn Airstick (love it).
Then I carry two tubes in jersey pockets.

During a race, I put the Quik Stiks under my Softride beam, held on with sections of an old tube tied into the seat rails, then put one spare tube up the upper side of the beam under the saddle shell between the rails, held on with a wide Velcro strap. The pump stays in it's bracket.

I used to race sans ANY repair equipment, but now take a wiser (I think) course in carrying enough to get me back to the T-zone should I flat. My race would be basically over anyway (I do sprints and Oly's).

Hope that helps.

I keep anything that is specific to the bike (tubes) and O2 canisters in the saddle pack, and carry a multitool, patches and tire levers, and combination hand pump in my camelback.  The tools can be used on whatever bike I am riding.  If they are always in my camelback, I only have to have one set, and don't have to worry that they are in another bike's pack.

On short training rides (1/2hr to an hour) or during a race I siimply put a tire iron and a spare tube in my jersey back pockets and keep my mini-pump across my aero bar or my bike shorts along the outside of my thigh.  On longer rides (1 hr or more) I have a backpack with a change of clothes, money, wallet, tools, pump, lock, shoes, etc.

Okay first I have to ask....why do you carry a change of clothes????

I keep it simple.....I either put it in my jersey or in my bento box.....I do this for training rides and races.

tube, co2/nozzle, tire lever, tool, patches

and my cell phone in my pocket..

Actually got my first flat of the year just the other day - had everything to fix it...even did it myself

I carry tire levers, multi tool, patch kit, and a tube in a under the seat bag and a pump is mounted to my froma next to my water bottle cage. Bento Box holds the grub!

I carry two tire levers, a spare tube, a multi-tool, a CO2 inflator and a $20 bill in my saddle pack.  If I get a second flat during a ride, I pull the cell phone out of my jersey pocket...
