I thought the Nascar race was so much more exciting than the Indy 500. I was also able to squeeze in the Formula One race today. It rained here all day. My couch got a good workout.

I watched snippets of the Formula 1 Race, about 20 minutes of the Indy 500, the last stage of the Giro d'Italia bike race, the last 100 miles of the Nascar race. I between I got in a motorcycle ride and I mowed the lawn. Whew! I'm taking a rest day on Monday...by running in a 5K.

Like one of the Nascar announcers mentioned near the end of the race (Darrel Waltrip I think it was), Michael Schumacher dominated just like Jimmy Johnson did!

Thanks Lara...I'm going to try and break 8 mins per mile for the whole race. My target is 24 minutes for 3.1 miles.

I had planned a big day of workouts for today, but I too ended up on the couch watching 100 miles of racing. It's probably the only day of the year where the times line up so that I can see IRL, Nascar, and F-1 on the same day. Great day for racing and resting.

Lara don't feel too bad about falling asleep during the Nascar race. A few years ago, I coerced my wife into going to the 600 with me. There was a long rain delay and the race didn't restart until after 11:00 PM. I looked over at my wife and she had her headphones on and was sleeping like a baby right there in the grandstands.

I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day.
