T-Day -1. Doing the olympic distance at America's Tri in Austin Texas. Expect 80% humidity and 80 degrees by the run. Volunteered for packet pick up yesterday and today. Met elite athletes as well as a bunch of other newbies. If you want to eliminate the pre race jitters, volunteer to work. No time to think about things. Checked in my bike, had a flat when I got there and I had checked the tire pressure before leaving the house. Now know I can change a flat in 5 minutes. Will swim in the lake for the first time in a wet suit for the first time. Glad I've kept that laid back Austin attitude, not going to worry about anything! Reading up on database integration with e-commerce web sites tonight to insure some sleepy time. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day, we have a lot to remember this year, I'll be racing with a couple of squads from Fort Hood Texas racing for buddies in Iraq.
