Yeah, now that I look back 7 weeks didn't take that long but this day always seemed so far away. Even just last week it felt like forever before I'd be back at the doc's office. I went out for an "easy" walk/jog tonight and everything feels very good. My foot actually seemed to be the most shocked by the walking...feels like I just walked 3 hrs in deep sand.

So, the doc initially said 6 months...who was I to argue? I just went with the flow, stayed positive and didn't waste any time feeling sorry for myself getting fat and lazy on the couch. (okay, I did spend 1 week on the couch) and here I am less than 2 months out and back to it. I've got a couple goals in my head for those late summer races I'm planning...can you say PR?

Unbelievable how quickly a trained body and mind can heal!  Congrats on a speedy recovery!  Take it easy before showing me up in the local races. 

That's awesome news Joel.

Just remember to build it back slowly.  No sense irritating it, or injuring one of the supporting systems.
