Hello Oziem, is that even your real name? Sounds to me like they're not working you hard enough at uni if you've got time for tri-training. Get a job hippy!!

Fag? You know I don't smoke. It's bad for you, and you really need to quit yourself to get anywhere in triathlons.

for our American friends out there, fag = cigarette (although Oziem was alluding to a poof), bird = girlfriend. I deny all association with Oziem, and have never met him in my life. Isn't that right mate?

Glad we provide some amusement for you Debs. You haven't seen us training yet though!

I think Oziem is much more enthusiastic about racing. I just train for the craic

I'm studying motion synthesis (computer graphics).

I've done a couple of run races and I've got a few coming up. The big one for me is the bristol half marathon in september. I'd really like to do a triathlon but I don't really know if there are any in my area . I really ought to join the local club but I haven't got round to it yet. Mainly because I guess they'll all be really fit and kick my arse. I'm kinda used to walking all over dai_bach everyday (only kiding mate)

Good to see another Brit.

There are simply loads of triathlons in the Bristol area plus some really good clubs. Plus Robin Brew (ex Olympic swimmer) is based near you and runs lots of tri camps. Get hold of a copy of 220 Triathlon magazine to find out where it is all at in your area.

Lets build up the British contingent on this site and maybe we can organise our own event some time.

Tina

ps. Great race report - I wish I could run that fast - or are you running away from something/someone?

I thought I was running away from my Dad but it turned out he'd sneaked past me! To get 18th in the over 50's cat. tbh I will be able to do much faster than that, I broke my ankle playing football in december and I only started running again about a month ago
