Simple question really. I got a set of Louis garneau shorts for Christmas. After 5 months of swimming twice a week they have lost their shape and elasticity. Have I got good value for money out of them or should I expect more? I followed their washing instructions to the letter. I've never swum with this frequency before so I don't know what to expect.
Just curious

Good question Ian. I have a pair of DeSoto trishorts and am experiencing the same thing after just a few months. Think I'll switch to some sort of speedo for pool time and save the tri shorts for brick training and races.

I only wear my tri shorts when I'm doing brick workouts. I got some that I thought were just "well ventilated" because they had vertical lines of mesh-like material. My training buddy helped me realize they are see-through, though. Thank goodness I haven't gone commando with them on before. Yikes!!

I use mine solely for brick workouts and open water swims. They have lasted about almost 2 years and are ready to be replaced. I'll still keep them (probably for the open water swims), but I'm pretty satisfied.

They are DeSotos

I also only use mine if I'm doing two of the disciplines.  Chlorine can kill anything.
