The NFL did not ever want to see TO or Chad Johnson do this after scoring a touchdown.

Brett FavrePhoto/Tom Lynn

Favre coming back

QB tells Packers he will return

The streak will go on. Barring any unforeseen circumstances before the start of the regular season, Brett Favre will be the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback for a 15th season

Is he clapping in response to his 5th 3-INT game of the season?

If this were a caption contest, that wouldn't be a bad answer.  But, seriously, does he throw picks?  My Green and Gold glasses filter out that stuff.

Hey, at least you're honest about the tint on your shades. I'm still grasping onto the concept that I'm not a Longhorn homer.

Tom Brady, Agreed.  That I can't top.

Favre with head in hands from Tampa?  You could be right, but... OK, lemme see, your starting a new franchise today.  You want Chris Simms or Brett Favre?

Who do you think has more upside this year?
Who had a better QB rating last year?
Who had a better record last year?
I was all behind you and my man Farve till you had to pick on the Bucs.

Thats what I'm talking about, I was so ready for a 3pete last year.

After 20+ years of dissapointment the Patriots and Red Sox have restored my faith in sports.

I would pick Brett Favre for the QB coach, and Chris to take the snaps.

But keep an eye on the Bucs this Saturday (Draft Day Dash 5K), if my wife gets too close to Mike Alstott there could be a need for security.

For the record, I know I'm total homer and don't have a leg to stand on.  I'm still glad he's coming back for another year though.

Let's see, a QB who ocassionally steps up for big games but is too old to do it consistently or a QB that takes a dump all over himself when the pressure's on? What a choice.

Would that franchise be in the retirement league?

Chris is Phil's son, a young QB on the Bucanneers.  Were you thinking of Phil Simms?

NO NO NO NO NO.....and I'm a Packers HOMER.  You DON'T want Favre as your QB coach.  No QB that was a backup to Favre and became a starter elsewhere EVER said they learned anything technical about playing QB.  The ALL said they learned leadership and field presence.

GO PACK!!!

Check it out.  Pretty funny.

I hope he hasn't lost his ability to throw strikes to the guys in Purple.

One thing I'm confused about.  Bert Farve said he wouldn't come back unless GB signed a big name free agent to make a statement... who was it???

He'll probably say Woodson, though personally I think the guy just doesn't know when to quit.

Top performers have a hard time quitting their craft.  That's why Robert Smith had no problem retiring early.    Welcome back Gatsby...
