Subject: Question re Hill Repeats
My first tri (Olympic) consists of Four 2.5 km loops. Each loop has a pretty sizeable hill on it so I am preparing for it by running hill repeats. My tri is 10 weeks out and I started hill repeats last week (3 repeats last week and today, next week will up it to 4 and build from there). My question is do I continue doing hill repeats right up until the week before or can I stop earlier to work on speed work?

hill repeats = speed work in disguise.

time the first repeat, try to negative split each one. you can work that in with a "traditional speed" workout every week. this way you get the best of both worlds up until your race.

I agree...the strength from the hill running will be far more beneficial in a hilly race.   If you don't practice the hills it's a safe bet that your endurance will suffer, and it won't matter as much how fast you are on the flats.

It probably wouldn't kill you to throw some intervals and/or Fartlek training into a moderate or tempo run, maybe every other week.  Or do strides after one.  Something to keep working on leg turnover.  Be careful not to overdo it though!
