Subject: Using Trail Shoes on the Road?

I'm considering buying a pair of new shoes (Most likely something from the Brooks Pure Project line) and my running is going to be a bit of both trails around the local lakes (that's where the races are too) and then a concrete MUP path near my house (majority of my training runs will be on the concrete)

So since I'll be doing both I don't know if a trail shoe would wear out really fast using it on the road or vice versa.

Anyone experience this or know the answer?

As a shoe junkie, I would say the perfect answer is to just buy two pairs of shoes but if your budget only allows for one pair then I would just buy a regular training shoe and use that on the trails.  You don't really need a specific shoe for trail running - they might offer a few benefits in rough terrain - but I've been fine in a standard running shoe on most trails I've run on.

I wear trail shoes all over, it's about my feet feeling good
