What tri shorts are you guys using? I have the Zoot 8" tri short in XXL but they are slightly smallish - they work, but I wonder what everyone else is using? I am 5'8" and usually wear a size 14. Thanks!

I wear Trinity tri shorts (and shirts) and am 5' 10" and size 14 (for now, dropping soon, hopefully!) and they fit fine. I forget which style, though, sorry...www[dot]trinitymulti-sports[dot]com

I have a similarly sized friend who LOVES her skirt sports brand tri short.  They are really cute and look well fitted.

I like my Danskin tri shorts. I was a size 14 when I first purchased them and the size large fit perfectly.

My wife is 5'10" 14/16 and gave up on the tri shorts. She prefers trisuits since there is less of a problem with fit and coverage. She picked up a couple on Voler.com for cheap and loves them.

I have been a big fan of the DeSoto tri shorts without gripper elastic in the thighs. I think they are the Carrera perhaps? I get XL, 5'5" and normally a 12-14 in pants. I LOVE them, they never ride up and I don't look like sausage legs.

"Tri" the SLS3 stuff.  Tops are ample for women, and the best part in they go beyond your waist line so you don't feel like your belly is hanging out.

Shorts are longer length and thicker material (as to not show any wrinkles).  I have the 8" inseams ones I believe.

"Xmas" code right now on their website nets you $25 off $50 purchase.

I've not heard of them before.  Looking at the website now.  They have really nice stuff!

I'm 5'8'' and a size 10/12 depending on brand of pants. I am a big fan of the skirtsports tri shorts (I have the 8 inch and 5 inch, but I recommend the 8 inch as it is more comfortable (and flattering) if you have a bit of extra flesh on the backs of your thighs/quads -as I do). They got me through my training and my first tri (olympic) last spring. They hold in place nicely under a wetsuit, and don't ride up running or biking either.

Also, skirtsports customer service is fabulous so if you have any questions at all, email them! They may even mail two sizes at once if you're concerned about trying them on, and you can just mail back the pair you don't want to keep. I also bought a bike top from them that I love and I have big plans to buy a bunch more stuff from them when I have the money. They're not cheap, but so far they've been worth every penny!

I love skirtsports too.  I am short (only 5'1) so like the 5 inch shorts better - the 8 inch would be way too long for me.  But I am a size 14 or 16 and the skirt sport shorts fit great!

I was looking at the SLS3 site...are the bottoms and tops waterproof. I am looking for something I can swim in....and then go straight to my bike without changing. Thanks

Couple of brands that do sizes above XL...

Scudo sports wear; they do lots of fun designs and make each item when you order. I bought some shark stuff for my last IM and liked look; prices are great for custom. I had them put on extra pockets and they made me a matching wind vest I used on the bike for less than $60 with pockets which is super price compared to regular bike vest

Scudo goes up to 4XL in bike and tri clothes

Trinity multisport had 2xl

Terry has added their own line of tri top and shorts that come in 2xl. I have a lot of their bike clothing and find their fit is more accurate then most brands.
